This Week’s Sermon: “To Live is to Bless” (Psalm 103)

To make something central in your life is to worship. Or, as this Psalm puts it, it is to “bless.” Blessing, in the economy of God, is our highest life. For when we bless, we take and trust God as he is: the great giver of all life and good things. As Sara Groves sings, “You are the sun shining down on everyone….And I am the moon with no light of my own, still you have made me to shine.” Psalm 103 is beautiful in it’s God-centeredness and wonderful in its reminders of God’s love for us. Let’s drink deeply this Sunday.
