This Week’s Sermon: “Who is Jesus?” (Mark 1:1-8)

Mark’s gospel begins this way: “The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.” And so there is no doubt. This strange (at the time) piece of literature is about Jesus. But who is he? That, in a question, is exactly what the book of Mark is about. It is about Jesus, who he is, what he came to do, and why it matters. So whether you have studied Jesus your whole life, or you have just happened upon him, the question weighs heavily. We are starting a long and deep walk through this amazing book this week. Would you pray for us that this journey with Christ would be fruitful and bring many to him?

Sunday Evening Praise & Prayer

Our first evening prayer and praise service is in a week and half, on September 16th. The main purpose of this gathering is to strengthen our church’s unity, see prayers answered, and be encouraged by the work of the gospel. So we will meet every third Sunday of the month at 5pm for a potluck meal, and then meet to sing and share our lives at 5:30p. Come if you want prayer. Come if you want to offer a praise. Come if you simply want to sit and listen. Talk to Ryan for more info.
