We approach the end of Holy Week with our first-ever Good Friday service and then our traditional Easter service. We will not re-invent the wheel. We will look directly into these remarkable, awful and wonderful events with solemnity and rejoicing. So please come out this Friday at 6pm to remember Jesus’ sacrifice. And then come rejoice with us on Sunday to celebrate his resurrection.
Good Friday Homily: “Infinite Sin, Suffering and Love,” Mark 15:33-34
Easter Sunday Sermon: “The Resurrection of the Son of God,” Mark 16:1-8
If you have not invited anyone yet, there is still time! Allow God’s Spirit to lead you.
Annual Easter Egg Hunt and Desert
Join us this Saturday at 1pm for our Annual Easter Egg Hunt! Bring a dessert to share and 10 filled plastic eggs per child. It will be a lot of fun!
Elder and Nominating Committee Nominations
The Elders and nominating committee are glad to nominate Chris Cummings for elder this year. Chris has been a member at GracePoint for several years with his wife Jamie. He has three sons. Chris is a committed and mature disciple of Christ and has served our church with grace and diligence. He runs our website, has led two life groups, teaches regularly in Kids Town, and is a mentor to our youth group students. We’re glad to have you consider him to help lead our church.
Along with Chris, we also nominate Jamie Cummings, Romie Mundy and Rachel Adler to next year’s nominating committee.
The covenant members of the church will vote on these men and women on Sunday, June 9th, after our worship service.
