We’re in a section (this week and last) of historical Psalms, remembrances of Israel’s life with God. Last week we saw the unbridled and unrestrained love of God for his people. But this week we see must contrast his love with their great sinfulness. Despite God’s faithfulness, Israel responded with faithlessness. But as this Psalmist makes clear, it is not just Israel in the past who struggles. We all sin and fall short. And so we must dig deep into our hearts, understand the root issues, and quickly look to Jesus.
Discipleship Teaching of the Week: Is Marijuana Ever Ok For Christians?
We’re living in strange times. And for Christians, these strange times bring new questions about following Jesus. How do we follow him in a way that exalts him and benefits us? So let’s talk about weed! With the legalization of marijuana in Mass, it is now a front-and-center conversation. Not just for individuals, but for our evangelistic relationships, and for our relationships inside the church. Much more can and must be said (the elders of GP are talking about it regularly), but I think this video has a lot of wisdom:

July and August Service Time Change: 9:00AM As you may have heard, the Elders and Deacons have decided to change the Sunday service time to 9am for July and August. There are two reasons for this. The first is to beat the heat (our worship space does not have air conditioning). And the second reason is to bolster our Summer attendance! We hope you will make it a priority to attend services when you are in town. If you have questions about this, reach out to any of our leaders.

PRAYING FOR GRACEPOINT
God has called each one of us as a solemn duty and as a high privilege, for the wonderful power of intercession for our church and for one another. Let us pray for workers at GracePoint:
Behind the scenes workers
…therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.
Lord, I thank you for all of the behind the scenes workers at GracePoint. Many of us may not know how they work tirelessly for the church and for others but you do. Lord, I lift up the people who work behind the scenes at our church.
Thank You for every nursery worker, KidsTown volunteer, hospitality worker, etc. who have devoted themselves to the service of the saints. Bless them for the obedience and generosity they have displayed—may You receive praise as a result! Keep them in an attitude of humility that comes from wisdom and wholehearted service to You rather than to be noticed by others.
Father, there are some in our church who haven’t yet discovered their ministry calling. I ask that you would call them into service this week. Raise men and women up to serve both the body and the community with their God given gifts. May they be men and women who are seeking to serve, rather than to be served.
In the mighty name of Jesus we pray. Amen
