Over the next few Sundays we are going to work through the Biblical details of life in Heaven. In this real place–a new heaven and earth–what will we do? We said last week that everything will be centered around the supreme and sovereign King, the Triune God. All good will flow to and from him, for our joy. But does that mean that Heaven will be an endless worship service?
The answer to this question is no and yes. No, we won’t stand around singing forever to God (though we will sing!). But, yes, we will worship. All of life will be worship. How? A huge part of the answer is this: we will work. In praise to the king, we will devote our lives to creating and building and ruling. Yes, ruling. Pray for God’s mercy to prepare you and help you to repent.
Help Support and Encourage DCF Workers
Would you commit to help support and encourage the workers of the Department of Children and Families? DCF workers provide a vital service to our communities. But the work they do is difficult and they are rarely thanked for it. We’d like to change that by hosting an appreciation breakfast for them on March 4th. You can help by doing two things:
- We need people to write thank you notes that we can distribute to the workers. Cards will be available at the back of the auditorium during February Services (10th, 17th & 24th).
- Pray for the Social Workers during March
