Aliza and Carlos, our missionaries to Mexico, shared this update and prayer request with us:
Forgive me for not writing sooner, but as we posted on our Facebook page, we made it safely to Mexico… and we learned a lot on our way here … things we may do differently on our next trip. 🚗
Regardless of any ignorance or errors on our part, God led us home and kept everything in working order in our car, and us safe. We praise Him for His hand on our trip and time in the States! We also praise Him for growing us in our new marriage, helping us become more like Christ, and guiding us in ministry. 🙏
We’ve enjoyed visiting new and old camps. Please pray that we could form a group (Bible study/microchurch) in a camp we had never visited before called Guayabitos. Many speak Mixteco and some Spanish, and are from Guerrero. We spoke with a really sweet family around their fire outside of their room last week.
Our prayer is that they’d be more interested in hearing about the Lord and His Word than the novelty of speaking to new people (although we love to socialize with them!) We also hope to gain permission to start a group in camp Guajira where we didn’t have permission last season, but it’s something that can change!
Please also pray for the remainder of my pregnancy (at 29 weeks now) and that I would find a good balance and be careful to not aggravate my back, as much as I can manage to, since I’ve had a lot of sciatica pain. Other than that, Carlos Gabriel and I doing very well! 😊
Finally, we will be headed to Carlos’ family’s town and hope to be a blessing to them in many ways! He’s excited to see his extended family! ♥️
Blessings on your family as you continue to contemplate Jesus’ amazing birth and purpose for coming to this world! 🌎
Love,
Aliza and Carlos
Please join us in praying for them!
